Saturday

Some Dutch Treat blocks

 I'm in love
with reverse appliqué.

Busting Out

Castle Window

Cherries

Cookie

Coyote

Sprout

Singleton

Lotus

Wrought Iron

Wooden Shoe

And they all have a name, isn't that cute.
A finished block is 4" square.

Enjoy whatever you are doing.

Tuesday

Embroidery box

Last weekend I finished this box I started
 in Nantes 2013,
at the Dear Jane exhibition,
and did a workshop with Karine

I'm very pleased with myself, having finished it.
It was a lot of fun doing stitches using ribbons.
So I bought this book "Embroidered & Embellished" by Christen Brown,
to learn some more stitches.

If only there were more hours round the clock!!!

Happy stitching.

Friday

Calendar Girl and Dutch Treat

Finally all 12 girls are stitched.
Next step is to assemble the blocks and
decide on the border.

Earlier this year I bought this book,
wasn't sure if I could do this reverse appliqué.
Made two or three practice blocks before
I decided and bought the fabric for this quilt.

My first two real blocks

Almond

 Old and New

For the main print I'm using batik from "Laundry Basket"
designed by Edyta Sitar.
The foreground fabric, cream tone on tone prints.

I just love this.

Happy stitching
